making stuff my 6 year old self would love
be for her who she needs you to be...
This work examines the embodied trauma of rebuilding a life. These images are the most intimate pieces of the self laid bare. The memories, the people, the treasures, the picked flowers, the way I was, the way world around me was. Confronting what was, giving way to what is and treasuring my bodily vessel as the thing that carried me through pain and never left my side. Crushed but never destroyed. Lost, but never alone within my body which has become my home. And finding myself a the precipice and a bit afraid but arising to be for her who she needs/needed me to be. And welcoming what's within to finally come out.
